Shanel and Rae-Casa Real, Ruby Hill Winery-6.30.12

Shanel and Rae were married at the oh so beautiful Casa Real, Ruby Hill Winery. It was my 1st time shooting a wedding at this great location and I really enjoyed it! The staff was terrific and very on top of everything and it made the day super smooth 😉 Shanel and Rae hired me back in 2010 so it really felt like we got to know each other and spend some good time together over those couple of years. When the day finally arrived for their wedding I was super excited to see everything finally come together. Anytime you have a 2 large families coming together to form 1 it is always a great time…laughter, music great food and love! Thank you Shanel and Rae for being so beautiful inside and out….enjoy!

Dom and Friends!

My sister and her friends are some of the funnest girls to shoot! They are very silly and feel super comfortable in front of the camera, so it really makes my job easy. Needless to say this session we did last month was no different. We drove around the city and stopped at a couple of the  go to spots for photos, Legion of honor and Baker Beach. This was a pretty special session since her and her group of friends will be splitting up soon as they are all going to college in different places. Bittersweet, but I can tell by their bond that they will be friends for life…enjoy!

The Arbona Family

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I love this this family! I am so happy that Shaila and I found each other via facebook a couple of years ago and have been able to reconnect! 2 babies, lots of family photo sessions and a trip to Italy later, here we are! This session we did last month was a super session, babies, toddlers, whole family and mini engagement session. It was lot to fit in but we did it and had a bunch of fun as always 🙂 I can’t wait for the next shoot whenever it may be…until then, enjoy these!

P.S. Jackie stole the show as always 😉

Your Kiddy Mini Session…What to Expect?

It’s toddler time!! This is when the real fun begins 😉 I am totally amazed at this time of  a child’s life…you can literally see their brains working so hard. Gathering and processing information, organizing it. They are constantly being exposed to so much stimulation and totally soaking it all up. I know from my own experience that this is a time of your child asserting their independence and you as parent constantly trying to set boundaries yet still trying to allow them to be themselves. It can be trying and exhausting but once in while you are able to take a step back and see what is happening and sometimes in the midst of all of the craziness you can smile, laugh and appreciate this crazy and wonderful time. I can’t wait to capture it on camera for you. And in a few years you can look back  and reminisce…below are some tips and answered questions for you to better prepare for your session…enjoy!

1. Q: When should I schedule my Kiddy Mini Session? A: Between the age of 15 and 36 months is a good time to schedule this session. We are looking to capture the walking, running and exploring milestones so it’s a good to schedule this session after your child has reached the walking milestone.

2. Q: What can I expect at our session? A: Just like my Little Mover Session, this is a super relaxed, non-posey session. Looking to capture your child in a natural environment such as a park or  any other one of your toddlers favorite play areas, being themselves and having a great time.

3. Q: How long will my session last? A: Kiddy Mini Sessions are one hour-long to ensure that we have enough time for some great shots without exhausting both toddler and mommy or daddy.

4. Q: After our session how long will it be until I receive my photos? A: You will have your images edited and up in your gallery within 4 weeks of our session. Your disk will be sent out at this time as well.

5. Q: Any other tips or suggestions to help me prepare for my session: A: Always make sure your session  is scheduled at the time of day when your child is the happiest and most upbeat.  A couple of hours after they wake up in the morning or after their nap is always good. And also make sure they have eaten a meal or a snack. And for wardrobe ideas for you kiddy session, please take a look at this pinterest board created to help you,   Lastly, just relax and let’s all have a great time!!

Your Little Mover Mini Session…What to Expect?

Ahh… the fantastic time has come when your cute little baby starts to become mobile! It is so great when your little one starts sitting up and then all of a sudden he’s crawling and the baby proofing of the house begins 😉 But what a fantastic time to photograph your little guy or gal. He or she is sitting up and crawling but can’t completely run away yet and has the development in tact to pay attention for a bit and look at us when we call their names and even give us a great smile! This one of my favorite times in my child’s life and I loved being able to capture this big milestone and I look forward to capturing it for you as well! Below are some tips and answers to questions to prepare you for our session…enjoy!

1. Q: When should I schedule my Little Movers Mini Session? A: Between the age of 6 and 15 months is a good time for your little movers session. We are looking to capture the time between sitting up and walking so it’s a good idea to schedule if your baby has reached at least one of these milestones.

2. Q: What can I expect at our session? A: Little Movers Sessions are like all of my other sessions. Relaxed, not super posey. I’m looking to capture your baby being himself in a very natural setting such as home or his favorite park.

3. Q: How long will my session last? A: Little Movers Sessions are a bit shorter than most other sessions simply due to the fact that children of this age don’t have huge attention spans and can get distracted pretty easily so the session is scheduled for an hour which usually allows enough time for capture some great shots without exhausting baby or mommy and daddy 🙂

4. Q: After our session how long will it be until I receive my photos? A: You will have your images edited and up in your gallery within 4 weeks of our session. Your disk will be sent out at this time as well.

5. Q: Any other tips or suggestions to help me prepare for my session: A: This is a great session to put your child in his or her favorite playtime outfit and let them be themselves. Whatever they love to do that is what we will do! So it’s best to just relax and let us all have fun and enjoy some free time! It’s also a good idea that we schedule this session to be done after your baby has had his or her nap and has eaten a meal or a snack.
