I really love doing Holiday Portraits. Something about this time of year makes me all warm and fuzzy inside and I love the idea of sending out a family photo Holiday card as a wonderful tradition (even though I never have the time to do it myself 🙂 Here are a couple of shots from The Beasley’s holiday session and my last photo session of 2011!
Larry and Anke were married in October at the beautiful Hakone Gardens in Saratoga. The wedding was a bit different from most weddings that I’ve photographed, Anke is German and her family is in Germany and Larry is from the bay area originally, so they had already had a ceremony back in August in Germany, so this was actually just a reception and celebration for the family and friends that couldn’t make it to Germany. It was small and intimate and in a beautiful setting. Hakone Gardens is a photographers playland with lush green everywhere and water surrounding beautiful gardens. We had a really wonderful and relaxed time and I thank larry, Anke and there families for letting me capture their beautiful day and best of luck to the happy couple!
I met up with Katey, Brett and Ethan a couple of weeks ago for a Holiday Portrait Shoot/18 mos. shoot for Ethan. We decided to shoot at Putah Creek in our hometown of Davis. I had never shot there but was asking my sister for suggestions and she mentioned Putah Creek, I did a location visit and it was beautiful. It worked really well because last year around the same time we did a family shoot at The Arboretum in Davis and they have ver similar looks, so it felt like a good place to be 🙂 We managed to get some good shots in between chasing Ethan around! Luckily I have my own about this age so I knew what I was in for 🙂 Thank you Katey, Ethan and Brett for a great shoot..and Happy Holidays!
