Nathan and Kaelen-Portuguese Hall, Sausalito- 9.24.11

Nathan and Kaelen were married a couple of months back at the Portuguese hall in Sausalito. This wedding was so much fun because Nathan and Kaelen are such a creative couple and they added a lot of really fantastic personal touches to their day! From a photo area complete with fake mustaches for guests to bedazzle themseleves, to a super cute monster mailbox for cards. Even the placecards were done by the groom himself.  Everything was done with a fun twist and everyone really appreciated it! The catering and flowers were both done by  the wonderful folks at Style Creme Anglaise, www.stylecremeanglaise.com. And the cake and cupcakes were from Kara’s Cupcakes 🙂 I also have to mention that the bride made her own dress and jacket. So great! The weather was not the best that day but it made for great photos with all of that diffused light. Big thanks to my assistant Lindsey Houser for being such a big help and getting lots of great candids. All in all we had a great time at the wedding and am super happy with the way everything turned out. Congrats to Nathan and Kaelen!

Thankful

I think, almost every day about what I am thankful for. But since it is Thanksgiving tomorrow, I’d like to take this opportunity to express how thankful I am for all of the great things in my life…I am thankful for my support system, the people I know I can turn to anytime for any reason. They keep me grounded, focused and loved they are my beautiful friends and family. I am thankful for my husband, he is my rock on a daily basis, he reminds me that I need to work hard and strive for the best and he also lets me pout and gives me massages when I ask for them 🙂 I  am ever so thankful to have a beautiful and healthy baby (well, I guess she’s not really a baby anymore) that get’s even more amazing everyday. I am thankful for my health and plan on starting an excercide routine to give my body back the love it gives me ( err, we’ll start that after the holidays :). And last but not least, I am completely grateful to my past and future clients, for allowing me to continue to do what I love and live the life that I live. For trusting me to capture some of there most memorable moments and for being beautiful inside and out. Here’s to a wonderful holiday season and to many more nights blogging by candlelight and being thankful.

The Arbona Family-Holiday Portrait Session

I headed north to Sonoma a couple of weeks ago for a fun Holiday session with one of my favorite little families. I was very excited to meet the newest member, baby Jaime and to see adorable Jackie again. My love for photographing children continues to grow as I witness on a daily basis what wonderful little people they are. We had a nice and relaxed session and the day could not have been prettier. Congrats to The Arbonas, may your family continue to flourish….Happy Holidays!

Shanel and Rae- Engagement Shoot-China Beach and Embarcadero

Shanel and Rae are busy, busy people! They are parents of 2 young children and both work full time. So we had to schedule a couple of sessions in order to complete there engagement photos but it was so totally worth it. China Beach is simply gorgeous ( I had never even been there before) shame on me! And of course the Embarcadero is one of my favorite places to shoot, especially at night. We had a super fun time and I am looking forward to there wedding next June. Enjoy 🙂

Brooke and Thane-South Lake Tahoe-08.12.11

My great friends Brooke and Thane were married in beautiful South Lake Tahoe back in august. It was such a fantastic weekend. Lots of reuniting and catching up was going on 🙂 I hadn’t been to south Lake in over 10 years. I forgot how gorgeous it is. Brooke and Thane were married on a mountain top, over looking a lake. It was the perfect setting for nature lovers such as them themselves. After the ceremony we had a lot of time to explore the surroundings and I feel like it was really hard to take a bad photo. The light was so perfect and we had a super relaxed and fun bride and groom session. After that we went back to the house that they had rented for the weekend and we had a great party. This was my kind of wedding, super casual, and full of love. Love you both and congrats!
